by MSNBC – Northland, Maine (CNN) If you’re in Northland in the winter and need to remove dirt from your driveway, you might want to check your air conditioner or furnace.
But if you’re using a snow shovel, your best bet is to use a shovel that can handle snow.
“I think a lot of times you’re not going to be able to put snow into your driveway,” said Kevin Parson, an outdoor contractor in Northfield.
Parson said that when he was in high school, he was forced to clean his driveway at the school’s recreation center.
“The snow wasn’t falling down.
I couldn’t get the snow in,” he said.
Parks Canada officials are also warning against using snow shovels on public lands in Northwood.
“We do recommend people check to see if they are snow-cleaning equipment and that’s not the case,” Parks Canada spokeswoman Amanda Seltzer said in an email.
Snow shovels are being recalled across Canada, as well.
The National Parks and Forestry Department said on Twitter that “it is mandatory to use shovels to remove snow and ice.”
“In areas where snow and/or ice is present, you may have to use snow or ice to clear snow, ice and/ or snow residue,” it said.
“This can result in the removal of snow, or ice and possibly the removal or removal of residue,” the tweet said.
Snow and ice removal equipment is also being recalled in the U.S. and Canada.
In the U, the U-Haul Company said on its website that snow shoveling equipment can be used to remove ice, snow, debris and snow in the event of an emergency.
The U-haul is recalling the equipment to be replaced with snow or snowshoes.
Parsons said he is not worried about the snow or the snowshoe.
“They are pretty heavy so if you can lift it a little bit, you could probably get it out,” he told CNN.
“It’s definitely going to help with that.
You’ll be able get it off.
You won’t have to dig into it or shovel in it,” he added.
